The Sunken City of Epidaurus is opposite the ancient port that used to be next to Spilia beach, and beneath the ancient Citadel that used to be on top of the Nisi mountain-peninsula. The ancient buildings that have sunk there used to be the ancient Agora of Epidaurus. Walls, building foundations, and enormous pots lie half-buried at 1.5-2.5 meters below sea level, just a few meters from the shore. Isn’t this enough of a reason to visit and explore them?
