Mycenaean Bridge

Back

It is considered as the oldest preserved bridge in Europe and the oldest single-span arch bridge still in use today. The bridge was built in Arkadiko, during the 13th or 14th century BC (Greek Bronze Age), by the Mycenaeans and made of giant boulders, characteristic of Mycenaean cyclopean structures.
