The Chapel has some unique icons of 14th century Saints with names related to agricultural production: Agios Portokaleonas (St. Orange Grove) – Agios Sitiras (St. Grain). St. Michael lived during the reign of Emperor Leo the Armenian and hailed from a rich and noble family in Synada, Phrygia. The skull of Saint Michael is conserved in the Monastery of Great Lavra on Mount Athos.
